One main one that has been wieghing on my mind is having another baby. We can't get pregnant, but we want to. but as the days pass,,,the years come and go we get older, and getting older decreases chances of having more babies. as well as being older when these babies come. its so nice being a young parent...but the way things are going we aren't young anymore...and honestly this sucks. This is the only area of my life at the moment i am MISERABLE with. Its the only area where my faith waivers. i see HORRIBLE HORRIBLE people have babues over and over...one we all know of in the news right now...is brittney spears...why do the horrible people (not everyone) get to have babies over and over. yet people who are deserving, who would do anything for there children not be blessed with one. It is and always will be the first thing i will ask god when i see him. Why aren't the good people Blessed.

Anyway I think al had a decent birthday. We went out with friends Saturday night. it was more for my friends little sis who turned 19 (thats legal age in Sask) it was an alright night. i have come to the conclusion i am NOT or neer will be a bar/club person. those people are SOOO not me. i CANNOT party like a rockstar. haha. Sunday night we went out for a dinner with my mom, dad, and brother, and als mom and hunter and me. it was a very good dinner. with them singing to al and everything. very nice. then on monday (his actual bday) we ewnt just the three of us to our fave restaurant. then came home and i had baked a cake and we had that. we had melissa, ava and nikki over for cake. it was VERY good cake if i do say so myself;). haha. As gifts Al got a firepit (for outside) from me and my mom (we split it). I also got himt he transformer movie. Hunter got daddy shaving supplies, so they can shave to gether. he picked it out and it was all hsi idea. to cute!

Hunter is sick:(. we have been doing so well. he stayed home today. he has a horribly barky cough, prob bronchitis. as well as prob an ear infection...hopefully only one. I go to make an appointment with his doc...and low and behold he is on a week vacation...first off he was just off for two weeks over christmas...and second WHT DOCTOR takes a vacation in the midst of flu season. VERY frustrating. so we have to go to a clinic. we have an appt (hopign that gets us in in less then 3 hours) at 3. so about an hour and we will go. I hope we have a decent doc. i will update (hopefully) after the appt to let you know what is going on.

On another hunter note. they started skating at school. now hunter cannot skate...not because we don't take him...but because he is scared to on his own. and i tell ya...this is just what he needs. to see all his freinds out there skating and doing it on there own. he came home and told me "mommy, i am not a very good skater". i told him that he was and he just needed more practice and he would be just as good as everyone else. he will get there:D.

Well thats all thats going on in my life...oh i got my hair cut...shorter then i wanted...but its alright. I will add some pics from the weekend and stuff. Enjoy! and have a great week:D

Make video montages at www.OneTrueMedia.com

ME = PROCRASTINATOR

Yup thats me. a big ol blgo procrastinator. i always have good intentions...i am gonna keep up with the blog, i am gonna be a good friend and reply to all my friends blogs, then i fall down a hole not tto come out for weeks, sometimes even months. I had to have a job.Still no luck. The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive-in t hat had been converted to a truck stop.It was called the Big Wheel. An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids. She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until seven in the morning. She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could start that night.I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people.I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night. She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleepThis seemed like a good arrangement to her, so we made a deal. That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job. And so I started at the Big Wheel. When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money-- fully half of what I averaged every night. As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage. The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home. One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires! There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires.Had angels taken up residence in Indiana? I wondered.I made a deal with the local service station. In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office.I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor than it did for him to do the tires.I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn't enough.Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids.I found a can of red paint and started repairing and painting some old toys. Then I hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning.Clothes were a worry too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair. On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. There were the truckers, Les, Frank, and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe.A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine. The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up.When it was time for me to go home at seven o'clock on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with boxes of all shapes and sizes.I quickly opened the driver's side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat.Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box.Inside was whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10!I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans. Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries. There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes. There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items. And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll.As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude. And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.Yes, there were angels in Indiana that long-ago December. And they all hung out at the Big Wheel truck stop..THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:1. 'Yes!'2. 'Not yet.'3. 'I have something better in mind.'God still sits on the throne, the devil is a liar. You maybe going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine. My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me.This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewardsLet's continue to pray for one another. Here is the prayer:.Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power.Amen.I know I picked more than four, so can you

Christmas Tag Game

My friend Jenn tagged me in a game, so here goes

CHRISTMAS TAG GAME
1. WOOOHOOO. lol. i even let the boys decorate a bit around the h ouse, it looks nice, and i am really ok with it. I am feeling more in the christmas spirit this year thats for sure. i am usaully a HUGE grinch around christmas. but things are actually FOR ONCE going good for us, and it feels good:). i hope it keeps up. we are in need of good to happen for awhile.

I am not sure how many know t hat hunter is in the local city choir. and being in a ch oir aroudn the christmas season things get CRAZY. and boy oh boy has it ever. seems like there is c hoir every second day, either a practice, or a performance or somthing. but hunter LOVES it. he is going to be in canadian idol one day:). i will for sure post some pictures when i get a chance:)

Al has been working evenings the past week (he goes two weeks days two weeks evenings). his shift is 230-100. its ok, i get lots of stuff done, b ut ti does get lonely. but i find i do more for myself wehn he is working. he likes to take care of me, and he is awesome at it, he doesn't even like for me to help, so me to have to do everything the past week ahs been sort of nice:). makes me feel useful. and i am HAPPY to report i cooked EVERY single night this week. THIS IS HUGE for me. Hunter does get to pick somwhere he wants to go for supper tomorrow, because he has been such an awesome boy and a good helper while daddy was away, and this was his reward. he tends to act out when al isn't around so we made this deal with him at the beginning of the week, and he has held up to his end, so we will to ours. He has chose bonanza for supper. i think i may take him to see enchanted as well, he will like that movie. i have heard from multiple people that this is a great movie. so we will see how things go.

I have to say i have encountered my most amazing thing as a parent thus far, watching my child learn to read and write is awesome. it tops anything else. i don't know why i just think its amazing and makes me feel like he is accomplishing somthing. all the other things are milestones that pretty much all kids hit, i suppose reading is to, but it really has to be TAUGHT. i just can't believe when he reads me a book. we just finished writing his christmas list. he did a GREAT job. i am VERY proud of him

I will leave you all with a couple pics from the past little while:).

Lilo making her self comfortable on als back...hahaha

Hunter and his soccer team!! My good friends daughter has a bday on dec 9th. i got her the singing hanah montana doll on sale. and for christmas i got her a bratz baby for 20.00 off. one of the bathtime fun ones. hopefully she likes it. i think she will. i got my dad a gift certificate for nevada bobs. he shall like that. yesterday i got my mom a fireplace, my brothers and I all went in and got her a good one. she will like it:D.
Hunter got his school p ics back this week. i have to say he is pretty damn cute. i may be biased. whats your opinion? haha. I am def9inetely impressed with the way they turned out anyway.

We went to a program called bethleham live this past week. its a skit about the baby jesus. you get a piece of paper when you come in with your families last name from the biblical times. when your name is called you get to go on an adventure as the three wise men did. it goes outside, to different areas with different groups. there are the romans walking around asking what you are doing, on horse, and you have beggers trying to steal your money, and you go through a market place. it is really amazing. we enjoyed ourselves. it was nice to go.

Tomorrow is the grey cup. our team is there ( in case youa ren't sure, the grey cup is what our football team in the CFL (canadian football league) play all year to get to, like the stanley cup). it should be lots of fun, everyone is pumped. i know i am. hopefully i win, we have worked hard for it, and i must say it is about time we won. well i g uess thats it for this week, not much else going on:). take care everyone

An interesting past week

Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right!!! thats my philosphy. thanks to jenn i rely on God toi help me through the tough and keep me strong:). so i guess this past week i could've really entered the loony bin, but because God is helping me through the rough times i amalright. i am stronger.
On tuesday i was at work, as any given morning. and there is a knock at the door (incase you don't know i work in a small daycare a lady runs out of her basement) and i open it to find a Baliff, looking for good old Stephanie Mason. the minute he said my name i knew exactly what it was. He was here for my van:(. yes i had my van repossed. its horrible i know, but it was the only way out of this hole we are in right now. with al having been out of work for 9 weeks, we got WAY FAR behind, and really we had neer caught up from when he was in school and only bringing in 200 dollars a month. you can not stay on top of shit when everything in its entirety is thrown at you. so yeah i knew this was coming, this quickly, NO, but i knew it was coming. it was honestly bittersweet. it sucks that we wasted 2.5 years and 12,000 dollars paying for somthing that was just taken away, but there was no other way. this way we can get ahead and actually save some money now, buy a car with cash and be way further ahead. yeah credit is screwed, but honestly it was before. life is WAY to short to always be plaing catch up. as my good friend Holly said, maybe this was God's way of helping you get out from under the rock. and i have to believe in that or i would really ahve lost it.
that exact same day, i found out als best friend FOR YEARS ABD YEARS passed away. he was 32, and died of a stroke. This his al hard, they had drifted apart the past few years, but al still talked of him with great fondness. the sad thing is Al wasn't able to attend the funreal because we didn't find out tell after the funreal had happened:( my heart ached for him. Its a scarey thought to think that at such a young age, with so much living left to do that this life was taken from this world:(.
so yeah in nutshell that was my last week. i am ok with things, i am stronger from going through this. i have learnt things. a lesson learnt is wisdom gained right.
Hope everyone has a great week. stay warm, have fun, and hug the ones you love
Stephanie

Today was the day

The Big day when al started his new job. he was excited. he called me on his lunch break and said things where going good. alot of safety training and paper work, but he seemed to like the people and the work. so thats a HUGE bonus. As long as he is happy thats all i care:).

I went back to work after a long weekend. thats always the worst. this past weekend was remembrance day (for my US friends). i had a really nice weekend. nothing to fancy happened. we went to the bee movie, went swimming and had my niece for a sleep over. we just kidna hung out and enjoyed each others company. it was really nice

Got a call from hunters school at work at 1100, hunter had thrown up. now this would be alright but for the past four weeks i get a call from the school once a week saying hunter has thrown up, i either have to lose the hours at work or try to find someone to pick him up. the thing is he is NOT sick. with the cold air hunter gets a cough, and if he is running around in that cold air he gets a very bronchial cough. and he coughs so hard he throws up. i honestly dont' know what to do about it. he gets an inhaler. it is VERY frustrating. cause i have to work, and he has to go to school. just not sure what to do, so any suggestions greatly appreciated. he thinks he can come home and play. nope, you come home sick from school you go to bed. uggg...children.

We are having GAIL force winds today. up to 100 miles an hour....feels like wea re going to blow away in the wind. its nopt cold, but its suppose to blow in snow and rain and all that fun stuff. good ol mother nature, likes to keep things interesting. haha.

Hope everyone is having a great week:) jenn hope you are getting ready for the BAHAMAS!!!...how exciting and i have to say i wish i was you.

Hi All. i guess i will just jump right in on what is happening in our lives. Lets start with Hunter

as most of you know he is six and in the first grade. He has been having some trouble controlling his words and hi STRENGTH. lol. he says he tries really hard NOT to. reall really hard he tells me. the recent is calling a little boy a "Butthead" not too bad in my books, much more inappropriate words....but i guess it is not appropriate in school. so we explained to him about using nice owrds and if nothing nice can be said to turn around and walk away. we will see. so far so good. i really like the new school we have chosen for him as well as the teacher. lets hope that keeps up for the year. we sent him with his splints for the first time on thurs. in case you are not aware hunter has to wear ankle/foot orthodics because he walks on his tippy toes (like a ballerina). his leg and ankle muscles are tight which prevents him from walking flat foot. its pretty bad. so he has to wear these splints that go to just below his knees. he does pretty good with them and tries REALLY hard not to complain. the bug thing was finding shoes that fit his splints. he has big feet to begin wi th. but w3e did. he just has trouble getting them on. but anyway he did really good with them at school:). huge bonus.

Here is Hunters class on thursday, they had rider pride day (the riders are our football team)

Hunter is currently in two extra curricular activities. Beavers and Choir, he will soon be starting indoor soccer too. he is REALLY good at the choir and he really enjoys himself. we are really greatful for this program. he has his concert on Dec 16th, sure i will have pics to share of that. Beavers is going good. FOR HUNTER. He really likes all the activities they do and is always excited for it. BUT, the other kids are very HORRIBLY behaved. al says it almost makes him want to pull hunter out. the only thing keeping him from doing it is that hunter loves it so much. we hope soccer goes good.
Al starts a new job on tues. FINALLY he got a welding job. it took like 3 months, with a short retial job in between. they were really sad to see him go at the retail store, they said he was the best hire of the street they have ever had. he offered to stay part time 2-3 evenings a week. they told him they wanted him every day on the weekend and three days in the week, he said i don't think so, so he handed his badge in on friday and said see ya. if you don't want to work WITH me then i don't want to work with you. its ok though. he will be making good money at his new job. we are pretty excited and i am really proud. it has been a long road. its nice to finally have SOMTHING go right. lets hope this job works out.

Nothing much going on with me. still working in daycare. kids are driving me BANANAS....lol. i think i need another job...but its so hard. i really like my boss and she is very accomadating.
